The SFS Global Enterprise Technology architect reports to the SFS Global Technology Head. The SFS Global Enterprise Technology architect works to cultivate and manage technology assets within an integrated view of the enterprise using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, choosing and leveraging the appropriate technologies, technology design techniques and proven methodologies where appropriate. In addition, the SFS Global Enterprise Technology architect, will manage the SFS technology Architecture Team and focus on ensuring that development investments are correctly aligned with Citi's Enterprise objectives, standards and processes. This includes taking responsibility for all technical strategy within their area and is equally focused on the architecture governance and technical aspects although the individual is expected to have a strong design/development or management background.
The Architects work with project and product managers to advise and help them on all issues relating to software development and / or software integration. Responsible for the design, development and ownership of the SFS Enterprise Technology Architecture. Partner with the SFS senior technology management team and external client CTOs to move the SFS and client enterprise forward, expanding the SFS business with those clients and cementing client partnerships. Define the set of strategic, core and support processes that transcend functional and organizational boundaries. Work closely with product management, operations and technology leadership to insure alignment of Enterprise, operational and technology strategies. Support the IT investment governance process and engage in prioritization of IT investments across the business.

•Demonstrated effectiveness in the application of architectural principles to Enterprise solutions
•Demonstrated ability to recognize structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies
•Improvement in the technology investment cross product prioritization process
•Attainment of the status of a trusted advisor to the SFS senior executive team, providing counsel and direction on Enterprise architecture and alignment with Enterprise strategy.
Qualifications
•MD/Director level role, requiring 15+ years in institutional fiduciary securities with significant experience with architecture processes and techniques
•Demonstrated track record in IT strategy/architecture consultancy
•Natural team leader/team-builder, who can develop team members to be future experts in the discipline
•Strong analytic and interpersonal skills
•Demonstrated ability to work in a highly matrixed environment
•Strong oral and written communication skills
•Strong management skills, especially influencing and negotiating skills
•Ability to work across all levels of the organization
