Brief Description of the Organization

Description The position will have end-to-end responsibility for managing the application development and support activities for a global, business-critical, enterprise-scale Internet-facing application suite. Responsibilities include - requirements management, application architecture and design, software development and testing - independent responsibility for managing financial forecasts and budgets - managing and tracking application development plans, communicating status, progress, risks, issues to seniors and business partners - overseeing the system support, capacity management and information security compliance activities of the application support team.Qualifications
- Experience managing application development for large, enterprise-scale web-based applications using state-of-the-art technologies, including application servers, relational databases and messaging middleware.
- Prior hands-on experience developing Java/J2EE applications
- Ability to effectively leverage offshore/remote development models
- 10 to 15 years in financial services industry; prior experience in payments and credit card processing a definite plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build strong, effective working relationships with business partners and functional partners.
- Ability to manage a large team of technologies working concurrently on multiple, diverse deliverables
