Description
The role exists to provide management of development services to the Citi's Global Prime Brokerage business in the client facing department, primarily focusing on asset servicing tools and services. This is a leadership position that is expected to manage the development group end to end across multiple project tracks. Technology projects within this space range from small tactical client requests to large scale strategic developments for the prime brokerage services. Asset service tools and services group provides all tools needed by internal and external users of prime finance. The external users are the hedge fund clients and their fund administrators and the internal users are the client service representatives.
• Responsible for managing several complex, global projects including financial management of the projects, design, development, implementation, risk and control.
• Manage the execution and status reporting to senior management and business product managers.
• Manage business/client relationships with the senior business leaders associated with these projects; build and sustain strong relationships with the client groups and ops tech partners.
• Work with the development teams and the Application and Domain architects in design and product selection.
• Ensure we have buy-in from all the stakeholders and track issues and manage project risks.
• Cultivate and grow your staff to maximize their potential.
• Provide performance feedback and training opportunities for all employees on your team.
• Manage offshore teams and vendors on contract engagements to deliver milestones and programs on time and within budget.
Qualifications
• 10+ years of Project Management in distributed computing area.
• Server-side software development experience
• Java /J2EE framework experience
• Strong RDBMS experience
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve time-critical client facing issues
