Founded in 2000, IV’s business model centers on creating, acquiring and licensing pure invention in a variety of technology areas. IV plans to commercialize inventions through licensing, spin-offs, joint ventures and industry partnerships.
Responsibilities:
• Reports to Director of Acquisitions
• Manage a portfolio of new opportunities & develop key executive relationships with companies who own important patent portfolios
• Project management and execution of patent acquisition transactions
• Manage & actively lead a deal process that includes deal qualification & assessment, valuation, business case development, financial justification & recommendations, contracting and delivery
Key Qualifications & Required Skills:
• Seasoned business judgment and strategic abilities
• Proven capability to manage complex transactions successfully
• Ability to build and present persuasive business cases
• Understanding of the intellectual property marketplace
• Strong technical background
Skills in:
• Assessing, structuring & negotiating acquisitions
• Strategy development
• Being organized and able to work with a diverse group of professionals
Abilities to:
• Manage portfolio of opportunities
• Successfully negotiate & close deals
• Build and present persuasive business cases
• Influence & work well with others
• Understand key legal and business issues
