One of Boston's most prestigious investment firms is seeking an Associate Lawyer to join its General Counsel staff.  The selected candidate will be solely responsible for all contract review and negotiating as well as monitoring compliance with these instruments. 

Along with this legal experience, the Associate Lawyer must have familiarity with complex asset backed fixed income investment products.  Some of the responsibilities of this important position are:

• Review and negotiate custody, trade, and brokerage agreements.
• Assist with the closing of loan and derivative transactions.
• Insure compliance with the agreements.
• Assist with various special projects as assigned such as new products, prime brokerage, and audit requests.

This position will afford excellent corporate visibility and career advancement.  General requirements to be considered for this position are:

• JD with a minimum of 5 years of investment legal experience.
• Solid understanding of asset backed and other complex securities.
• Strong project management skills.
