Main FunctionThis role will be responsible for supporting US Product Control change management initiatives for the Equity and Prime Services asset classes and requires: Working directly with Product Controllers to elicit Business Requirements, formally document and communicate these requirements for project prioritization and system development. Working directly with IT resources to design solutions that satisfy all business requirements o The ability to immediately escalate all identified project risks/issues to the Project Manager for mitigation.o Oversight of User Acceptance Testing with a focus on quickly resolving any defects/issueso Providing implementation support including release documentation (procedures/process flows) and any required training.o Collaborating with project resources, critically analyzing project plans and strategies, and reporting project progress to management across functions to ensure coordinated requirements definition, project development and implementation.
Who we are looking for :
Essential: Degree in Accounting or Finance 4-7 years of product control experience (and/or Business Analyst work supporting Product Control)Strong knowledge of Equity products. Good knowledge of Prime Services products. Broad knowledge of investment banking Solid understanding of Product Control functions including: Preparation and analysis of trading activity profit and loss statements on a daily basis, including Equity Finance, Cash Equity, Index Arbitrage, ETFs and Basket Swaps. Month end close including calculation and reconciliation of accruals, journals for general ledger and performing balance sheet account verification. FOBO reconciliation Trade Verification and review Balance sheet reporting and proofing Produce daily P&L and provide daily P&L attribution analysis Review of Monthly / Weekly Provisions calculations and analysis Optimization and maintenance of standards around booking financial results, including working closely with Middle Office and IT to improve levels of process controls and contribute to continuous process improvement. Participation in or instigation of Tactical and Strategic projects.
