The Technology Infrastructure Services group is looking for a team member to work on their Virtual Platforms Product Management team.
Job Description
AVP Product Management - CHP (Virtual Platforms) Product Management day to day activities include but not limited to the following:
Client Facing
- Manage client product technical and service requirements ensure that they know what different business clients want and if not available in a current service release define those requirements against future releases
- Manage the Service Level Agreements ensure that the offerings that they have meet the business needs of the various business units (Equities, FID, and Market Data etc) and develop further service levels if there is an identified need.
- Assist communication of utilization in terms of cost to Business Unit managers
Product Management
Process
- Manage the OLAs with service delivery partners Storage, Capacity Mgmt, Provisioning etc.
- Assist in designing the delivering new service models - how they would communicate, support and manage new services
- Maintain and develop marketing materials and training materials
- Support management and operational processes monitor that business users are following the processes they have defined for requesting and ordering virtual services, and that internal provisioning and capacity teams are providing the services as agreed
- Review reporting from capacity teams to ensure they have sufficient capacity available for future demand
Technical
- Assist with lifecycle management of the virtual products including working with Engineers and Systems Architects on planning out the future roadmap of the technologies they are using
- Work with CHP developer to design integration points into existing billing, capacity management, provisioning, storage management, demand management, datacenter management
- Maintain the CHP website tools and the CHP wikis and product management tools
Financial
- Costing out new service models
- Manage the billing process for cost transparency
- Ensure pricing accurately reflects market conditions for virtual technology - and compare with external benchmarks
- Drive business analysis of technology offerings and link to strategic business plan and goals
- Maintain monthly, YTD and annual product recovery status
- Present divisional impact analysis caused by pricing or methodology changes
- Provide guidance on cost saves vs. cost avoidance
- Forecast CHP/DHP product consumption with input from business client
- Forecast future demand as a baseline
- Determine price for product and evaluate against assumptions of cost and demand
- Validate monthly accruals and provide variance explanation to IT finance for monthly expense trends and variations
- Provide estimates and rationale arguments to support budget, forecast and monthly charging
- Create transparent algorithms for costing and charging
Key Requirements:
- Excellent Communications skills
- Global experience working with both process and infrastructure management
- Advanced business process analysis and design skills.
- Excellent financial modeling skills advanced knowledge of Excel/ Access/ some VB scripting
- Excellent understanding of infrastructure technologies (servers/operating systems, storage systems/database systems) and if virtual technologies.
- Excellent understanding of accounting/budgeting.
- Certifications in ITIL, CoBIT and/or Six Sigma.
- Languages a plus.
