Assistant Vice President, Financial Institutions Group - U.S. BanksOur client is seeking a candidate for theFinancial Institutions Group in its U.S. Banking team located in New York City.The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of aportfolio of U.S. Banks. Primary responsibilities, which will be coordinated with thesenior banking analyst, will include meetings with senior management teams, performingbusiness and financial analysis, maintaining surveillance on rated companies, preparingrating committee presentations, and producing up-to-date rating reports. Additionally theAVP is required to develop and maintain relationships with rated companies, produceindustry research pieces, and respond to queries from issues, investors and mediarepresentatives. Who we are looking for :
Preference will be given to applicants with 5+ years experience in accounting, creditanalysis, and/or financial analysis. U.S. financial institutions industry knowledge andexperience is a must.Candidates must have: A college degree and/or Masters in accounting, finance, business administration, and/oreconomics; enrolment or completion of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) programis a plus. Prior experience in financial analysis of companies, preferably credit analysis in the USBanking sector; Strong analytical abilities, both quantitative and qualitative; Well developed business writing skills, particularly analytical reports; Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills; The ability to work interactively in a team environment, as well as being a self-starterwho is able to work with minimal supervision Whats on offer :
