Want to make partner within 3 years It is possible with this CPA firm in Houston. They have oil and gas clients world wide but your travel may be one week per engagement.
Allowed to work from home on a limited basis.
Major Duties
1. Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality
2. Manage, direct, and monitor client service teams on multiple engagements; plan, execute and complete external audits in a wide variety of industries
3. Understand and manage firm risk on audits
4. Develop a project vision and set challenging personal and team goals
5. Maintain communication with clients to manage expectations and make sure deadlines are met
6. Manage client accounts including: billing, fee analysis and collection
7. Reviews all work product before submission for further review by Audit Partner
8. Work with other Managers to help ensures the proper deployment of the audit staff
9. Manager, develop, train and mentor staff on projects and assess performance for engagements and reviews
Job Requirement
A bachelors degree or graduate degree in accounting from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 5 + years of recent work experience as an Oil & Gas E & P auditor with a public accounting firm
SEC audit experience
CPA license required
Advanced verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated supervisory experience
Advanced working knowledge of technical literature
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to successfully multi task projects
Highly motivated self starter with excellent interpersonal abilities
