AVP/VP-Collateral Evaluation
The Private Client division of one of the leading banks is seeking to add a manager to its team. The firm offers a wide range of credit products to high net worth clients and investment companies. The Collateral Evaluation Manager supports our Business Units, Credit Officers and Monitoring Units in collateral related evaluations and questions from all divisions globally.
Key Tasks
-Evaluate Lending Values which are not calculated on an automatic basis, in particular for Structured Products and Mutual Funds
-Support the Business in collateral exposure requests, to help the Credit Officer understand complex collateral structures in order to enable risk appropriate decisions
-Participate in ad-hoc credit risk control projects
Required Skills/Experience
- At least 2-5 years of experience in Finance or Banking with experience in securities analysis
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly identify complex securities structures
- Sound knowledge of the securities industry and of the various types of marketable securities and their inherent market risks
- Support our origination units, credit officers and monitoring units regarding requests/ questions concerning collateral and derivative exposure valuation
- Liaise with the other Collateral Evaluation and Credit Risk Standard & Procedures teams located globally to provide risk adequate recommendations and decisions and to ensure the consistent application of the most recent global policies and procedures re collateral and derivative exposure valuation
- Provide recommendations / decisions in a timely manner and which are comprehensive
- Efficient, accurate and timely delivery within the function
- Able to work under pressure and independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to focus and prioritize and to perform accurately in a fast paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related areas required
