.NET Developer
This is a software development role focused on trading systems in the fixed income derivatives area. The developer will work on a trade capture system that supports bespoke trade creation, electronic trading, and lifecycle management of credit derivatives.
Our client is looking for an experienced Windows/.NET rich client developer who can make a significant contribution to the growth and evolution of their derivatives trading system. The developer will be involved in the full development lifecycle from requirements gathering through development and support, with particular emphasis on design and implementation. Offers an excellent opportunity to use and/or enhance knowledge of financial derivatives.
Position Responsibilities:
Design and develop application software, unit tests, and associated documentation
Contribute to rapid, iterative delivery of critical business functionality
Work with a demanding user base, being capable of communicating on the users’ terms
Work collaboratively with colleagues in a flat team structure
Liaise with production support staff concerning changes to be deployed to the traders, and to provide second level support on systems in production
Work in a variety of technical environments, developing own skill sets to match the changing technological environment within the company
Position Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of Windows/.NET “rich client” experience, and/or 3+ years in C#
Minimum of 6 months experience with DevExpress .NET Winforms Components highly desirable
Minimum of 1 year experience working with Oracle, SQL Server or Sybase
