Dryades Savings Bank, FSB was federally chartered on September 9, 1994 by the Office of Thrift Supervision in New Orleans, Louisiana. Our Board of Directors is primarily composed of African-American community leaders and business owners, led by Chairman Charles C. Teamer, Sr. and President and CEO Virgil Robinson, Jr. Throughout the twentieth century, Dryades Savings and Loan had been a respected name in local finance, but fell victim to the same problems that closed many small savings and loans in the 1980's. In partnership with the Resolution Trust Corporation minority ownership initiative, our investors were able to revive a New Orleans tradition.
Since that time Dryades has become a thriving community financial institution. Our total assets as of December 31, 2005 were $108,712,647. Our success is a result of our unwavering commitment to providing personal service, attention to the development of our core business lines, and our ability to forge strong strategic community alliances.
