Delta Trust & Banking Corp. was formed in June 1999 as the collaborative effort of three banking families with over 300 years' combined experience in Arkansas banking.
Delta Trust & Bank grew out of the Bank of Parkdale, founded in 1910. Eventually, through a merger with Wilmot State Bank, it became Southeast Arkansas Bank. It endured the Great Depression and helped meet the financial needs brought about by World War II industrialization. Since the turn of the century, the Pugh family has been associated with banking in Ashley County. Board of Director member Thomas R. Pugh, Jr. continues that legacy today with Delta Trust.
